Since I entered the career I have had to look for reliable sources of information to carry out each of my jobs of investigation, and knowing forest surfaces, urban areas, among other data, is very useful when making analyzes or comparing information.

It is in this search for information that I came to the page of the

CONAF's "territorial information system" (SIT).

In it you can find detailed information about each commune and region of the country. In addition, they have shp files that can be downloaded and used in programs such as Qgis or Arcgis, which is very useful for assignments that I am currently studying.

Also, on this website you can find graphs that indicate land use areas and forest bioenergy documents.
